The photo galleries that follow provide the basic specifications and pictures of the ships on which we have sailed. Five of these vessels are operating with different cruise lines than when we traveled on them. It is worth mentioning that each vessels size is described by its Gross Tonnage which is quite different from and considerably greater than displacement tonnage, for more information take a look at this web page, Ship Tonnage Explained.
All of the vessels listed are of similar design except for the Queen Mary 2 which is referred to as an Ocean Liner rather than Cruise Ship. The basic differences are outlined on a page of Cruise Critic’s web site. While it is true that cruise ships can survive heavy seas there have been recent incidents where some have suffered weather-related damage in heavy seas.
