Since Gail’s sore ankle has made it difficult for her to walk any distance we have used our visit to Jasper just to relax. For two whole days we have been able to take short excursions around the town near our hotel and just enjoy the extraordinary weather. Our hotel room has a small kitchen which has allowed us to skip the restaurants, shop at a little grocery store and make our own meals. Monday was a marathon day. It is now Tuesday morning and this will be a short post with more to come later today. I’ll tell the day’s stories in a post later today.

Whistler to Quesnel
Another interesting railroad trip which started in Pembroke rather than Whistler. The station in Whistler isn’t really a railway station. We were picked up from our hotel by the motor coach which delivered us to Pembroke about 25 km away. From there we continued on our way to Quesnel.
